District Benchmark Explorer

This explorer brings together normalized measures from several Analyze tools so visitors can compare Forest Lake with the same eight peer districts from one place. It is designed as a question-finding tool, not an overall ranking system.

No composite score: A district can be high on one measure and low on another for very different reasons. Higher is not automatically better for measures such as spending, special-education need, administration cost, or open-enrollment movement. The tool therefore shows one transparent metric at a time and identifies Forest Lake's position only as a high-to-low ordering, not a grade.

Normalization First

Every benchmark used for ranking is a percentage, ratio, per-student amount, per-1,000-student rate, or other normalized measure. Raw district size is shown only as context. This prevents large districts from appearing automatically larger simply because they serve more students.

The source years vary by dataset and are displayed with each metric. The benchmark deliberately does not blend different measures into one "score." Use the dedicated Analyze modules when you need deeper definitions, source documents, or underlying totals.
