Curt Rebelein, Junior -- Forest Lake Area School Board, ISD 831

"Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today."
- Malcolm X
Throughout my time on the school board, my focus has remained the same: strengthening governance, restoring fiscal responsibility, and keeping student success at the center of every decision.
As Board President, I worked with my fellow board members and district leadership to strengthen governance, modernize district policies, and implement full transparency by recording and livestreaming every board meeting. We revised elementary programming to better reflect community values and refocused district resources to better address achievement gaps for all students.
We also restored the district's financial health, increasing general fund reserves from approximately 0.3% to 11.6% while eliminating a $2.1 million medical fund deficit. Today, enrollment is stabilizing after decades of decline, and student achievement is showing measurable improvement.
These aren't campaign promises, they're measurable results that demonstrate what principled leadership, fiscal discipline, transparency, and a relentless focus on students can accomplish.
The progress we've made is worth protecting. I respectfully ask for your support so we can continue building on that success together.
